For over a decade, Januarie York has been carving her own lane in poetry, writing and performance art. Januarie is a freelance writer, published author & poet who, in addition to performing original poetry, has produced several of her own spoken word theatrical shows that focus on uplifting and inspiring women. She has released two spoken word albums, one chapbook of poetry, runs an online magazine publication called, “LiT Magazine” and currently operates her own blog, “The I Is Never Silent”. She resides in Indianapolis, IN, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and works with the 46208-based organization “The Learning Tree.” She is currently putting the final preparation on her first full-length book, “NOMAD”, set to be released in 2021.
